Spiritual Care Services

Christian Community Homes & Services is a faith based organization dedicated to meeting the spiritual needs campus-wide.

The Red Oak Center

Our Chaplain, Tom Johnson, coordinates the religious services and programs for all of our residents on the CCHS campus. As we strive to meet the physical and emotional needs of our residents, spiritual care is an essential component.

Christian Community Home offers a protestant worship service every Tuesday morning at 10:00 am. Area pastors provide worship leadership for these services with Holy Communion served twice a month. Catholic Mass is held every Wednesday at 10:00 am and is celebrated by a visiting priest from the community. Special worship services are also offered on holy days (e.g. Good Friday, Christmas Eve).

The Red Oak Center

On Sundays at 11:00 am, a devotional service is led by members of local churches in Hudson. All worship services are assisted by volunteers from the community and are held in the atrium of Christian Community Home.

On the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month, worship services are held in the atrium of Wintergreen Senior Apartments. These services are led by Chaplain Tom and music provided by Wintergreen residents.

We welcome all residents and their families, as well as the surrounding community to participate in worship services at CCHS.

For many of our residents on campus, this is their final home. Acknowledging the need to remember and celebrate these loved ones after they have died, a quarterly memorial service is held to honor those who have recently passed away. Families are invited to attend as well as current residents and staff members. Pastor Beth also provides additional grief support to residents and families upon request.

There are many other spiritual programs available to our residents.
Those include:

  • Music Ministry
  • Bible Study
  • Devotions
  • The Praying of the Rosary
  • One on one Chaplain visits and prayer
