Leadership

Dan Goodier, Executive Director

dan_goodier I began my tenure on the CCHS campus in October of 2000. As Executive Director, I am personally committed to offering customers an exceptional choice of living environments and access to consistent, high quality healthcare services that our residents and their families can count on when needed.

I find it difficult to pick out only one, or even a hundred favorite moments I have had on our campus. However, I find it safe to say that every ‘favorite moment’ has something to do with the smiles of those we serve.

The kindness, respect, and genuine Christian love we share are daily reminders of our humanity. It is an honor to serve, and yet a truly humbling responsibility.

Mary Eells, Director of Operations

mary_eells1I have worked in health care as a Registered Nurse for many years. I became the Director of Nursing of Christian Community Home in 2003.

In the fall of 2011 my title was changed to Director of Operations.

My job is to coordinate the day to day operations at the Christian Community Home of Hudson campus. Christian Community Home offers many services from rehab, long term, and memory care along with a variety of assisted living options.

The best part about working here at Christian Community Homes and Services is getting the chance to get to know the residents and their families, and having the opportunity to share in their lives.

Janelle Johnson, Corporate Finance Director

DSC03850Prior to joning Christian Community Homes and Services I spent eighteen years working for a large hospital system in Minneapolis.

My primary responsibility here at CCHS is to help ensure the financial health of our Hudson and Osceola locations by working with leadership to manage our resources responsibly. I will also be responsible for producing budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to our board of directors and external agencies.

In my short time here, I have been very impressed with the family atmosphere. The interactions between team members and residents, is one based on dignity, respect and compassion. I look forward to being a member of the Christian Community Homes & Services family.

Kathy O’Connell, Wintergreen Housing Director

kathy_o'connellI have been with CCHS since 1976. I first started when the nursing home was still attached to the local hospital and transferred to CCH when it opened in 1981.

During my time here I have had a variety of roles and responsibilities, but for the past ten years I have been the Housing Director at Wintergreen. I am also the Campus Beauty Salon Director and play an important role in marketing for the campus.

My favorite memory of the campus is the dedication service in 1981. At that ceremony a speaker said, “Everyone has a story. Take time to hear their stories.” I have tried to heed that advice and listen to our resident’s stories.

The stories all have themes of perseverance, bravery, fortitude, integrity, and patriotism. Listening to them has taught me so much about the people we serve on our campus.

Brenda Magadanz, Director of Pine Ridge

brenda_magadanzI have been with Christian Community Homes and Services since 1993. First as the Therapeutic Recreation Director at CCH for 17 1/2 years and now as the Director of Pine Ridge Assisted Living.

My role is to make sure the residents in our assisted living and memory care unit have a meaningful, purposeful life.

My joy is being with the residents; listening to their needs and concerns and assisting them to live their lives to the fullest.

I work and guide the staff to make sure everyone has the same goal of assisting our residents to have a life filled with respect, dignity, and of course, fun.

Debi Mager, Director of Financial Services

Working at CCHS since 2013, has been a huge blessing to me.

As the Director of Financial Services, I oversee all of the Hudson and Osceola billing/accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. My favorite part of my job is meeting the residents and their family’s one-on-one and helping with the Medicaid application or renewal process.

At this stage in my life, I knew I wanted a less traditional accounting job and something more missional. I have found that here at CCHS. I love developing relationships with our residents.

I feel honored to be a part of the lives of some of the most fascinating and wonderful people. I look forward to serving our residents for a long time to come.

Tina Burton, Director of Human Resources

Tina Burton - HR DirectorI have been with Christian Community Homes and Services since 1981.

Over the years, I have held several positions which have helped me to grow into my current position as the Director of Human Resources.  I enjoy working with our employees and assisting with their benefit needs as they change.

The things I like most about CCH are the relationships that are formed with residents and staff by working in such a caring environment.

Many of us have become like family working together over the years.

Jennie Orman, Director of Nursing

I started at Christian Community Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and have been the Director of Nursing since October 2011.

I work with the nurses and the CNAs to assure the needs and cares of the residents are being met and that the residents enjoy their time at CCH.

I have known my entire life that I wanted to be a nurse and I appreciate working at CCH where young professionals can grow and excel in their career.

Some of my greatest memories are the success stories of residents who come in for rehab and are facing a difficult recovery, but surprise even themselves and eventually walk out the doors to go back home.

Kimberly Drexl, Director of Dining Services

I am very fortunate that I have been able to spend the last 14 years of my career working as a Food Service Director. I am very passionate about my job, and love running a food service team, trying new foods, teaching, and most importantly, having clients who are pleased with their meals on a daily basis.

As the Dining Service Director, my primary roles include directing employees within the department, evaluating and guiding all dietary staff, providing food service and nutritional care service, and creating and managing the food service budget. I will also be providing consultation and overview of the Osceola campus dietary department.

In my short time here I have already had the privilege of meeting many wonderful residents, family, and staff. I have also been able to meet with all CCH, Pine Ridge, and Wintergreen council members to gain an understanding of their perspectives on the dining services.

I am excited to be part of the CCH team as the Dining Service Director.
